Notepad is default text editor from Windows OS and from the beginning there is no new feature added and This editor is used for write a simple note only. Even this tools can be use for editing PHP or HTML file but its make more hard when do it

If we need new text editor that have similar functions as default notepad but have more powerful functions to edit or create PHP or HTML file, there is 5 freeware that we can use as a default notepad replacement.

1. Notepad ++

Notepad++ is one of my text and HTML editor favorite and there is lots of feature on it. Its more easy when we want to edit HTML or PHP code.

Notepad2 is a small text editor with syntax highlighting feature This software can be operated directly without Installing process.

4. EditPad Lite

EditPad Lite is a text editor that have lots of feature than default notepad. This freeware can be operated under Windows NT4, 98, 2000, ME, XP and Vista Operating System.

5. PSPad

PSPad is a text editor for programming. PSPad can supported lots of programming language such as  C++, Cobol, MS-Dos batch, CSS, Forth, Fortran, FoxPro, HTML, XHTML, INI, Inno Setup, Java, JavaScript, KixStart, Object Pascal, Perl, PHP, Python, RSS, SQL, TCL/TK, Unix ShellScript, VBScript, Visual Basic, X86 assembler and more than 120 other programming language.
