Twitter is developing the ability of their search engine, that is Twitter Search. This development will also include the link that is inserted in a message or the tweet and index content on account page.

As quoted from the Telegraph, on Thursday (5/7/2009), Santosh Jayaram, president of operational Twitter confirm that the new Twitter Search capability will be more rich.
“At this time Twitter Search can only search for Twitter text message . But with the new capability, you can use Twitter Search to find the link in the posted messages and the index of search results,” said Jayaram when speaking at the TiEcon conference in California.

By developing the ability, the search engine will have more complete search results. The search results will not only textual messages, but also include millions of sites posted by the members of Twitter.

For the future, Twitter also plans to develop features such as the index page that owned by Google.

Lots of people said that Twitter Search will be the great and different search engine because it is focused on the search results in real time. They expect Twitter Search can work faster than Google, especially because this is supported by the Twitter basic capability to send a message more quickly through a few words.
